Updates on Communication and School Apps

Dear Students and Parents,

We would like to share important updates regarding our communication and student learning platforms. Please review the following information carefully:

1. Transition to WhatsApp for Communication

Due to recent regulatory and technical changes, we will gradually discontinue sending SMS messages and printed notices for urgent communication. We will be using WhatsApp for only urgent notices.

Parents should ensure they provide a mobile number that is actively monitored by them. This number will be used for all official school communications via in-person calls or whatsapp.

Please note that WhatsApp communication from the school is a send-only service. Messages received from parents or students through WhatsApp will not be monitored, and responses to those messages will not be read. For any inquiries, please contact the school office directly.

For in-person queries with office, parents may continue to use the numbers 0641-2300784 and +91-7484993657 during school working hours only. Please note:

·        Do not call the school office to reconfirm notices or messages that have already been sent.

·        These phone lines cannot be used to contact teachers, the principal, or the vice-principal.

·        These numbers are strictly for office administrative purposes and cannot replace requests for in-person meetings with principal or teachers.

2. eConnect Mobile App: School Administrative & Communication

eConnect Mobile app remains the primary platform for managing administrative information related to students. Through eConnect, parents can:

·        Access detailed school fees information.

·        Make online payments and retrieve fee receipts or certificates.

·        Receive notices and important updates from the school.

Key Updates:

·        About 70% of our parents have already transitioned to online payments through the eConnect mobile app. We strongly encourage the remaining parents to start using online payments through eConnect for their own convenience and to avoid long queues at bank counters.

·        Please note that online payments may take up to one day to be reflected in the system. If your transaction does not appear immediately, kindly wait for this period before contacting the school office. If it is not updated even after three days, then you may reach out to office for assistance.

3. eVidya: A Comprehensive EdTech Platform

eVidya app will continue to enhance student learning by providing an interactive and flexible educational experience. Here are some of the features and updates:

·        Interactive Learning: With engaging videos, animations, and illustrations, the app helps make complex topics easier for students to grasp.

·        Reinforcement: The app provides additional learning materials such as video lessons, worksheets, and answers. Students can revisit lessons as needed, which helps reinforce their classroom learning.

·        Convenience & Flexibility: Parents can support their child’s learning anytime and anywhere using the app. This flexibility can also help reduce the need for external tuitions.

·        Familiarity with Technology & Class Tests: To prepare students for upcoming SAFAL assessments, we have started conducting some class tests through the eVidya app. This initiative is aimed at enhancing students’ technical capabilities and ensuring they are well-prepared for future online examinations.

·        Continuously Evolving Content: We are committed to updating and expanding the resources available on eVidya. Our teachers are actively contributing revision and support materials for higher classes (IX-XII), with plans to further expand to other classes.

4. School Email

All students are provided with a school email address (e.g., name@dhsbgp.com) that is used to log into eVidya and may also be utilized for academic purposes like online classes when needed.

These email addresses are exclusively for academic use during the student’s time at our school. The school email is not a lifetime facility and will be revoked when a student leaves the school.

The school reserves the right to revoke email access at any time, based on the discretion of management.

Personal use of school email is strictly prohibited. Please do not use this email for personal banking, external website registrations, or storing personal data. Any personal data stored on school emails will be deleted after access is revoked.

5. Access & Password Management for School Email, eConnect, and eVidya

Access details for school email, eConnect, and eVidya are generally shared with students at the beginning of each academic session. If students forget their password, they can use the “Forgot Password” feature on the apps to regain access. Students must provide correct details like their admission number, mobile number, and email to reset credentials. If you would like to request for any help regarding using the school apps, please reach out to the school office.

We urge all students and parents to not share login credentials with anyone to prevent misuse. In the case of any misuse, please notify the school office immediately, and passwords will be updated. Additionally, students are reminded to refrain from tampering with or attempting to access other students’ accounts.
