A Tribute to Two National Icons

Mahatma Gandhi, affectionately called the ‘Father of the Nation,’ was pivotal in India’s freedom struggle. Through his philosophy of non-violence (Ahimsa) and civil disobedience against colonial rule, Gandhi Ji inspired millions in a peaceful manner. His ideals of truth, self-reliance, and equality still resonate deeply in the hearts of people today. Born on October 2, 1869, his life continues to be a beacon of hope for those seeking justice and freedom worldwide.

Lal Bahadur Shastri, born on October 2, 1904, served as India’s second Prime Minister and was known for his simplicity, integrity, and decisive leadership. His famous slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” during the 1965 Indo-Pak war underlined the critical role of both the soldiers and the farmers in securing and sustaining the nation. Shastri Ji’s leadership demonstrated strength through humility, inspiring millions to contribute to the welfare of the country.
