International Yoga Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm
Students of Classes VI to XII Take Part in Special Yoga Session
Yoga Day Celebration
The school celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from the entire student community. Students from Classes VI to XII assembled together to take part in the special yoga session organised to mark the occasion, reflecting the school's continued commitment to promoting health, fitness, and holistic well-being among its students.
Under the guidance of the school's Physical Training Instructors (PTI), students practised a series of yoga postures (asanas) and breathing exercises. The instructors demonstrated various asanas and encouraged the students to follow along, ensuring correct posture and technique throughout the session. The morning began with simple warm-up stretches, followed by popular asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana, along with basic pranayama and breathing techniques to promote relaxation and focus.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all age groups, who performed the asanas with discipline and interest. The PTI teachers guided the students throughout the session, explaining the health benefits of each posture and emphasising the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for maintaining physical fitness and mental peace.
The session concluded on a refreshing note, with students expressing that they felt energised and calm after the practice. The celebration served as a valuable reminder of the importance of yoga in building a healthy body and a balanced mind, and the school looks forward to continuing such initiatives in the future.
